Importance of Early Childhood Education

Early childhood education, defined as birth to kindergarten, has been shown to have many benefits for children, their families, and society at large. Much of a child’s cognitive development takes place before he or she enters kindergarten.

Introducing Learning Starts Early

Between Father Ben and the Outreach Committee of Saint James' Episcopal Church, education emerged as a passion and gift of the parish. From our current school and those that preceded it, to our Soroti sponsorship program, Saint James’ historically has valued education and supported it.

Directors

The board of directors of Learning Starts Early, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation, includes professionals from the worlds of finance, education, medicine and communications who volunteer their time to insure that every preschool student in Fauquier County has access to preschool education fundamental to success.
